Are you looking to expand your little family with a new four-pawed member? If the answer is yes, we’d like to encourage you to adopt a pet rather than buying one. There are many furr babies out there that need a home. By visiting your local animal shelter, you can adopt an innocent soul that needs a warm and loving place to stay.

  • How long has this pet been in the shelter?
  • Has the pet been adopted before?

  • Has it been returned to the shelter? If yes, why?
  • How old is the pet?
  • Has the pet been neutered or spayed? If yes, when and at what age?
  • Was the pet born with any existing illness or has it been injured previously?
  • Is the pet’s medical history available?
  • Is there a history of abuse?
  • What vaccines have been given to the pet?
  • Has the pet been exposed to other animals before? How did they react around other animals?
  • How does the pet react to humans (male, female, strangers and children)?
  • What type of food has the pet been eating, how much and on what schedule?
  • Is the pet tolerating the food well? Is their skin healthy and stools normal?
